Children, Young People, Age & Supervision
How registration, supervision, drop-off and collection work for children and young people at Reignite Movement.
Last updated: September 2026. Questions about this policy? Email info@reignitemovement.co.uk.
Registration
Under-18 participants must have the appropriate parent or guardian registration and consent completed before participation where required. This includes emergency contacts, relevant medical and allergy information, and collection arrangements for drop-off activities.
Supervision
Age limits and supervision requirements depend on the activity, instructor competence, risk assessment, equipment and insurance conditions. Children must not use equipment unsupervised unless the specific programme expressly permits it and the arrangement is age-appropriate.
Drop-off and collection
- •Children are checked in and out on the session register.
- •Parents and guardians provide authorised collectors and a collection passcode.
- •The authorised collector is the primary safeguard. A passcode alone does not authorise collection.
- •Reignite may request photo ID or contact the registered parent or guardian if identity or authority is uncertain.
- •Independent arrival or departure by an older young person must be specifically agreed and recorded where appropriate.
Emergency information
Parents and guardians must keep emergency contact, allergy, medication and relevant health information current.
Safeguarding
All child-facing activities operate under our Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Cherri Locke.
